About Chatham Park

Chatham Park , the Classic American community, features 35 homesites strategically arranged around a unique nine-acre park system. Colonial Revival architecture, along with pedestrian walkways and squares, create a small community reminiscent of Old Savannah. A brick gated entrance will join the existing mature trees and contribute to the feel of a traditional, Plantation style neighborhood. The homes featured on the perimeter of the property have large private rear yards while the homes in the center have a natural park system running behind the homes. Street trees and sidewalks join with decorative painted fences and hedgerow to re-create the feel of the classic neighborhoods from the 1920s and 1930s.

The Homes at Chatham Park continue the Old Town feel created by the land plan. Elevations are historically inspired and based on late 19 th century and early 20 th century American residential architecture, such as Greek Revival, Charlestonian, Georgian and Cape Cod. Floor plans are designed using simple forms and honest geometry. Garages are de-emphasized by pushing them back away from the front of the homes. All garage doors are single in scale, and motorcourts are designed to accommodate two cars rather than three. The first floors of the homes are prominently raised to allow for foundation planting and a strong sense of arrival at the front door. Entries feature porches and handsome doorframes connecting the homes to the pedestrian walkways. Homes feature tall ceilings both on the first and second floors as well as rich cornices; operable shutters and hand-selected materials will all work together to create the period effect.
